Today was our team's last day in Pohang. It was such an awesome day, and definitely ended with a bang! We spent our last day finishing up our VBS/English Vision Camp by having the kids preform for their parents what they had learned at camp.
The kids from the writing class stood up and read aloud what their dreams were and why they chose the dream they have. It was awesome hearing their hearts and detailed goals for their futures. In speech class, the students read through the book 'The Tree Trees', so each kid stood up and together said aloud tree one, two, and three's dream of what they wanted to be when they grew. The kids did such a wonderful job in speaking confidently and loud. They have come a long way from the beginning of the week when it comes to the comprehension and speaking of English. Arts and Crafts recited the three memory verses that they had been practicing. And lastly, they kids sang some worship songs for their parents.
Hearing all the kids sing in unison as well as watching them perform the songs, 'Sing, Sing, Sing' and 'Counting on God', with hand motions was one, out of many highlights for me. As well as knowing that when given the opportunity to accept Jesus into their heart's, a handful of kids said, "yes" to Jesus! The fact that God would allow me to be apart of the establishing of His kingdom in this way has been such an awesome privilege. And being able to love and teach these kids with my CCEA team was a blessing!
Til the whole world hears,
Rachel
