Our day started here on campus with church at 9 AM. Following church, we picked up some kids from the SunRin Orphange that we spent time with on Thursday and took them to lunch. We went to a buffet called Ashley's and the expression on the children's faces said it all. Once we prayed, they all took off gathering as much food as they could and trying anything and everything the place had. It was like Hometown Buffet, but better! The kids especially loved the ice cream!
After lunch we scurried off to Joyful Church in Pohang where we were yesterday with the youth choir. Our worship team got to play and Pastor Ryan got to preach in their fourth service, the college service. The church is beautiful and the sanctuary massive, it sits 2,800 people! It was fun to take part in a Korean mega church service and listen to Korean worship, but also see our team play and Pastor Ryan preach and listen to his message translated in to Korean.
When church let out, the girls went to the Women's Hope Center. This is basically a large apartment that houses single moms or women who have come out of human trafficking. It was really sweet there and had a very family type atmosphere. At any given time there could be 2-3 women and their children there at a time. We got to paint their nails which was really fun, but the highlight for me was getting to hold a little one month old baby, who was nicknamed "Teddy Bear!"
For dinner we went to yet another buffet, one of the Chinn's favorite places, Party's! This place was incredible. The food was great and there were so many options. My two favorites were the cucumber beef sushi roll and the sweet and sour pork. This was definitely a treat for us! #BuddhaBelly
Tomorrow Pastor Ryan will be leading "Beat My Body" for the EHDS. Afterwards Ken will be taking us on a tour of the law school and we will sit in on the law school chapel before we head down to Pusan!
Lots of love,
Alana
