"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
"But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong."
1 Corinthians 1:18 & 27
Though all of us on the team are exhausted, we continue to rely less upon our own strength and wisdom (there's not much left!), and rely further upon the powerful and saving work of the cross! As we look back on the past 13 days in South Korea, we can't help but praise God for going above and beyond what we ever hoped He would, both in our lives and in the lives of those we minister to.
Today marked the third day of our English Vision Camp! (Only one more) Our bonds continue to grow stronger with the kids, despite the language barrier, as we get more opportunities to love them and they get more comfortable with us. It is amazing to see some of them thrive from all the attention and love they are getting that they may not be getting otherwise. It's also a blessing to witness them begin to understand that God has a specific vision for their lives and He can be there for them, all while their English improves!
Before heading back to Handong University for some shut eye, we made an impromptu visit to a pier near downtown Pohang. (That may look like an amusement park in the background of the picture, but it's actually a steel factory! )
Thank you for your love and support,
Kyle
