Hey what’s up everybody! This is David Fischer (if you couldn’t tell by the hashtag) and today I got assigned the rigorous task of blogging… Haha okay it’s actually an awesome privilege and I’m excited to tell you about what happened today so let’s get to it!
To start the day off, we had worship and listened to a message from Pastor Young Ho. He had a unique way of grabbed our attention by saying “you're messed up!” about 100 time along with periodically smacking the desk next to him for emphasis. He conveyed to us in a direct way that we should not be surprised that we as people sin because everybody is messed up and in desperate need of God’s grace. There were no sleepers for this message, that’s for sure!
We then went to a small yet amazing restaurant called Mom and Son, which is run by a Christian family. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I felt as if I was eating in a fancy restaurant in France, yet here we all were in a small corner restaurant of Pohong!
Ending our day, we attended the evening event which was called “All out Worship.” Some other members of our group and I helped lead a time of worship and prayer for 2 hours. It was overwhelming to feel God’s presence come down and meet us as we cried out for God’s help, healing, revival, and the filling of the Holy Spirit. Following worship, at our debrief and devotional, God made it clear to our mission team that He still has great plans to not only to do a mighty work through us but also to do a mighty work in us.
I can’t wait to see what more God has in store for our team and the people we will be coming in contact with over here in South Korea. Please continue keeping us in your prayers and remember Jesus is alive! We don’t serve and worship a statue or man who died long ago, but rather the Son of God who conquered death. So let’s go all out for Jesus!
-Sincerely (with excitement), David Fischer
